The MIFARE DESFire EV2 8 card is a special smart card technology. Featuring an on-chip backup management system and the triple Des authentication, a MIFARE DESFire EV2 card can store and hold up to 28 different applications and 16 files per application.
The new MIFARE DESFire EV2 8k contactless IC card further increases flexibility. Compared to MIFARE DESFire EV1, the MIFARE DESFire EV2 smart card can hold as many different applications as the memory size supports and new applications can be loaded after the card has been deployed into the market. A purse can even be shared between applications, for greater interoperability.
