Compare NFC sticker formats
Start with the kind of label you need: blank rolls, a specified NFC chip, a printed design or a label for a particular security requirement. These are different product choices; the same printing, installation or software options do not apply to every label.

Blank NFC stickers in bulk or custom printed labels?
Blank and printed labels serve different buying tasks. A blank roll is a starting point for a project with its own label finishing or application process. Custom printed NFC stickers combine the selected NFC label format with a visible brand design. Choose the product format first, then the printing and data options that fit it.
| Your requirement | A useful starting point | What to compare |
|---|---|---|
| Blank labels supplied on a roll | 25 mm round NTAG213 roll | Label dimensions and roll format against the intended application process |
| A project already specifies NTAG215 | NTAG215 sticker product | The actual label construction and shape in the selected listing |
| A project is considering NTAG216 | NTAG216 sticker product | The stored message and product configuration; use the chip-specific details rather than choosing by the largest number |
| A logo, printed instructions or a visible QR code | Custom printed NFC sticker product | Artwork area, label shape and the relationship between the visible design and NFC destination |
| NTAG424 DNA or an anti-transfer construction is specified | The corresponding specialist label | The label construction and the application or integration required; these are separate choices |
For bulk NFC tag purchasing considerations, keep the wider product requirement in view. This range focuses on stickers and labels; cards, keychains and other NFC formats have different product requirements.
Custom printed NFC stickers for branded labels
Choose a custom NFC sticker when the physical design needs to explain where to tap, identify a product or present your brand. Start with the custom printed NFC sticker product rather than treating every chip-specific label as the same printable construction.
A short instruction such as “Tap for product information” can make the intended interaction clearer. A logo, printed URL or QR code belongs to the visible artwork; the data written to the NFC tag is a separate part of the configuration. They should lead to the intended experience without assuming that printing the design also programs the chip.
For a design-focused explanation, see printed NFC stickers: logo, colour and layout choices. That guide supports product selection; the product links above remain the route to the actual label options.
Choose the label for its installation and use
| Use | Product selection focus | Where to continue |
|---|---|---|
| Packaging and product information | A label format with enough space for the visible design and the intended placement | Blank roll or custom printed product details |
| Branded tap points | A clear tap instruction, a suitable label shape and the correct destination | Custom printed sticker product and design guide |
| Identification or equipment records | The actual chip requirement, label construction and mounting surface | The relevant chip-specific product; review installation conditions |
| Authentication or anti-transfer projects | A specific specialist label and an appropriate application design | NTAG424 DNA or anti-transfer product details; do not treat these as interchangeable functions |
Check the complete label dimensions against the available space. A sticker attached to metal needs a construction intended for that installation; an ordinary label should not be described as an on-metal product merely because it is adhesive. Our anti-metal NFC sticker explanation provides background for that choice.
Water resistance, adhesion, outdoor life and read performance depend on the selected construction and conditions. Choose a configuration for the intended use rather than transferring one product's claims to the entire range.
Chip choice and programming support
If the project already specifies NTAG213, NTAG215 or NTAG216, follow the matching product entry. If the chip has not been chosen, start with the data and interaction required, then use the NTAG213 and NTAG215 comparison and NTAG216 product details for the relevant technical information.
For writing or updating tag data, use our existing NFC programming guide. For everyday interactions and examples, see how to use NFC stickers. Selecting a label, printing its surface and configuring the application are related tasks, but they are not the same deliverable.
